covid 19 guidelines
Over the winter break, we shared the Parents' Guide Booklet on COVID-19 developed by DHA. We have reproduced it below in both English and Arabic and encourage you to reference this useful information. Click the images below to view them in Arabic or English.
safeguarding
We recognize our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all students. We endeavor to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. Please find our DAA designated safeguarding team below.
From School Operations
All parents/guardians/caregivers are required to wear their yellow lanyard/family pass to access the campus. If you are a new parent to DAA and have not yet filled out your family pass form, please click HERE.
Idling is when a driver leaves the engine running while the vehicle is parked. We ask parents and drivers to please turn off engines while waiting for students during pick up. The weather is cooler and comfortable now and this small gesture would benefit the environment and save you fuel charges too!
DAA Wellness
Before the winter break, our DAA Wellness Committee launched the Wellness Hero initiative as an effort to actively nurture the health and wellbeing of our community. Heartfelt kind words of gratitude and recognition for so many of our staff who put the well-being of others before their own, who genuinely listen and act in the best interest of students, who inspire, and those who greet everyone with a smile and offer a positive and welcoming spirit. These were some of the warm comments pouring in from staff as they nominated their colleagues as Wellness Heroes. Congratulations to all those who received this special recognition.
Beirut Trauma Support Group
This weekly support group is suitable for Adults ages 21 yrs+. It provides a safe and confidential space to process your thoughts, emotions and reactions under the care of a grief and trauma specialist.
*Kindly note, participation and respect for the group and for others is important. Please ensure that your video camera is turned on for the full duration of the group, just as you would be seeing others face-to-face for an in-person group. Admission into the session will close 10 minutes after it has started. We thank you in advance.Sunday, January 17th, 2021 03:00PM - 04:00PM
