What's Coming Up at DAA
Dubai Fitness Challenge is an annual celebration of fitness and wellness – and you're invited to join.
Launched in 2017, the challenge is simple: complete 30 minutes of activity each day for 30 days. Dubai Fitness Challenge helps create a fitness-focused mindset and inspires us all to seek healthy, active lifestyles. With a month-long calendar of free workouts, exciting fitness events and wellness-centric entertainment, you'll find plenty of inspiration to keep moving.
Be sure to check out https://www.dubaifitnesschallenge.com/. The information is currently being updated with new activities and virtual sessions planned. Registration info will be shared shortly.

Then look no further! Your terrific talents deserve to be seen, and what better place to showcase your skills than at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2021!
This year there are two writing competitions that are still open for students to take part in:
The Oxford University Press Story Writing Competition: Write a short story on the theme “Change the Story” (Hurry hurry! Entries are due 04 November 2020)
The Montegrappa Letter Writing Competition: Write a beautiful, well-written letter to your favorite book character (Entries due 22 November 2020)
There’s also a reading competition, which is super exciting! Contact your librarian today if you’re interested in representing DAA in this competition!
The Readers’ Cup: In a team of four students, read a selection of books and then compete in a quiz competition to show off your knowledge of the books (Registration closes 28 October 2020; email your librarian today if you’re interested!)

Highlights from Breast Cancer Awareness at DAA
On October 20th, students dressed in PINK to support Breast Cancer Awareness month, which occurs during the month of October.
Al Jalila Foundation has provided us with cylinders to help raise funds for cancer research. You can find them in multiple areas on campus and they will be available to accept contributions throughout the month of October. We thank our community members for their kindness and support.
