ACTIVITIES
ASA's
IMPORTANT SIGN UP DETAILS
Registration of all internal (free and offered by DAA Staff) and external (paid and offered by External Providers) activities will be through the ESM portal.
In order to provide and collect all the information in a timely manner we require our DAA parents to fill out all fields and information asked of them during sign ups on the ESM portal.
Please ensure that you have the following information at hand before signing up and entered correctly, leaving no field blank as that requires for us to enter information manually for each student significantly delaying the data collection process:
Name of student, Student ID number, Parent’s email, Grade, Section, Contact number
Enter your child’s name and spelling as it appears in GEMS connect (parent portal) as well as their Student ID number.
Please note that the Student ID number is not the same as their Emirates ID number. You may find the student ID number on your GEMS connect and the back of your lanyard. For example- 12400100234567 or 234567
The phone number and email address entered should be in use as all after school activity communication will be sent to that email address and phone number
For any information regarding external activities (paid activities run through ESM external providers) please reach out to jay.k@esm.ae (copying in athletics_daa@gemsedu.com), for internal activities (free run through DAA Staff) please reach out to athletics_daa@gemsedu.com
Our team will take one week after registrations close for data collection
Confirmation of registration for external activities will be sent through external providers while confirmation for all internal activities will be shared through the Athletics Office (confirmation of registration for internal activities from the ESM portal does not confirm your child’s spot in the activity of interest)

WINTER HOLIDAY CAMP
ESM are thrilled to invite you and your children to our Multi-Activity Holiday Camp operating at GEMS Dubai American Academy for children aged 4 – 12 years old.
Why Choose Our Holiday Camp?
Variety of Activities: From sports, arts & crafts and team-building games, we offer a wide range of exciting activities that cater to different interests and abilities.
Fun & Educational: Our camp isn't just about fun (though there's plenty of that!). We aim to spark creativity, build confidence, and develop essential life skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Qualified Staff: Your child will be guided by our experienced and enthusiastic team, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout their time with us.
Age-Appropriate Programs: We have tailored activities to suit a wide age range, from younger children (ages 4-7) to older kids (ages 8-12), ensuring everyone has a blast.
Dates: December 16th to 3rd January 2025 (Excl. Dec 25th & 1st Jan 2025)
Location: GEMS Dubai American Academy Campus
Times: Drop off: 8.15 – 8.45am, Activities: 9am – 1.25pm, Pick up: 1.30pm – 1.45pm. (extended 3pm pick up at additional cost of AED250/week)
Price: Daily: AED200/day or Weekly: AED765 (after 15% weekly discount – siblings receive an additional 10% discount)
Bus Service: AED250/week/child for Door-to-Door service.

musical arts lessons
Centre for Musical Arts is proud to provide instrumental music lessons to students at GEMS Dubai American Academy in partnership with ESM.
Register for a place on the instrumental programme in school!
Our lessons take place during the school day on a rotational basis to ensure that students do not miss the same classroom subject each week.
CMA offers both individual and group lessons in a range of instruments.

Intensive English Language Learning Programme
This programme, designed for students aged 4 to 14 whose first language is not English, promises an immersive and engaging learning experience. The one-week programme will focus on enhancing academic language skills, including vocabulary building, grammar, reading comprehension, and confidence in speaking and writing. Students will gain the necessary language tools to better access their school curriculum, participate actively in classroom activities, and improve their overall academic performance.
Fee: AED1,575 for 5 days

Mathematics Programme
The Mathematics Programme is designed for students aged 6 to 14, and it focusses on improving their understanding of basic mathematical concepts. Students will learn key math skills through interactive lessons, educational games, hands-on activities, and collaborative experiences while having fun exploring the world of numbers. This engaging approach aims to deepen students' appreciation for mathematics, improve problem-solving skills, and boost confidence in the subject.
Fee: AED1,575 for 5 days

8billionideas: Invention Camp
We are thrilled to share that 8billionideas, an award-winning education company, will be hosting their dynamic and engaging camps at GEMS schools across Dubai!
Invention Camp offers a fun-filled experience where children tackle real-world challenges while developing essential skills such as communication, collaboration, confidence, and a creative, innovative mindset.
Dates: Monday, 16th - Friday, 20th December
Time: 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Friday early finish at 12:00 PM)
(Early drop-off available from 8:00 AM. Late pick-up until 3:00 PM; no late pick-up on Fridays.)
Age Groups: 6-8 years & 9-11 years
Price: AED 1,095

By the end of the camp, your child will have developed their very own original invention and created a prototype of a potential world-changing idea. Parents are warmly invited to attend a showcase on the final day to celebrate their child’s achievements and see their incredible creations in action.
8billionideas: Startup School CamP
Startup School Camp is a 3-day immersive experience where your child will step into the exciting world of entrepreneurship. From mastering foundational principles to pitching for funding, participants will embark on the entire startup journey in an inspiring and hands-on environment. Through creative challenges and teamwork, your child will develop essential skills such as problem-solving, communication, leadership, creative thinking, and resilience.
Dates: Monday, 16th - Wednesday, 18th December
Time: 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM
(Early drop-off available from 8:00 AM and late pick-up until 3:00 PM)
