International Food Festival

Dear Families,

On behalf of all DAAPA committee members, we would like to extend a big Thank You to our wonderful DAA community for making our International Food Festival (IFF) phenomenal. We were so happy to bring the event back to life after three years of absence due to the pandemic.

We welcomed over 3,000 families, friends, staff and teachers on this beautiful sunny Saturday to celebrate many nationalities, with cultures, food, music and entertainment traditions. With 30 country booths, 15 dance performances, 17 Souk stalls as well as inflatable play areas and a magic show, this was a day to cherish.

IFF is DAAPA’s biggest annual fundraising event and with your support and attendance, we’re able to nurture many of our planned events for the next school year, including school-wide events and divisional activities. In addition, the amount we raised from the beverage sale at IFF - which always goes to a charitable cause, this year we will support a wonderful initiative from a group of Middle School students who will be doing a project with the Dubai Center for Special Needs kids as part of their Week Without Walls.

Thank you for being part of IFF and for your support and enthusiasm, we can’t do this without you. We look forward to creating more memorable moments for our community through our upcoming events for this semester, including our Teacher Appreciation and Conductors Lunches, Ramadan celebrations, Elementary Movie and Bingo Nights, Wild Wadi Evening, Graduation Gifts for our 5th, 8th and 12th graders, Senior Celebrations, snacks, treats & prizes for Dodgeball 7s, the National Honor Society, and much more!

DAAPA team prepared a healthy snack station for Elementary School Sports Day. We are proud to participate in this excellent sporting event and DAAPA was happy  to prepare healthy snacks for our young children and promote healthy habits.
