MIDDLE SCHOOL
March 23, 2021
Dear DAA Middle School Families,
We are heading into our last week before spring break. Our Student Council has created a Spirit Week to help show school spirit. Check out the information below for the themes the rest of this week:
During our Transformation and Discovery class, students were working on Pi activities, playing math games, and finishing their class’ yearbook page! I was so impressed with how students took on the challenge of creating a page that was creative, inclusive, and of very high quality! I can’t wait for them to see the finished product at the end of the year.
The month of Ramadan will begin the first week back from Spring Break and run through May 11. Just before Ramadan begins, we will be taking some time to remind our students how to be respectful during Ramadan, including some do’s and don’ts that will be expected over the month. Our school day will be from 8:20-1:20 every day during Ramadan. Please see the daily timetable. Our Islamic department has collated some helpful information about Ramadan. Please click here to find out more!

THAT'S A WRAP
It’s a Wrap! The MS/HS collaborative production MASK-I-CAL was shared on Youtube with our families on March 18th! This year, it had more meaning. It wasn't just a show. It represented hope. It reflected our commitment to the arts, our commitment to our school and our community. It was about collaboration, passion and creativity. We are so proud of the determination of our students in the cast, crew and band who worked together to put together a successful event. We are thankful for our phenomenal fine arts teachers who coached, encouraged and inspired our students while ensuring that health and safety remained a priority. And a big thank you to all of our staff behind the scenes who worked to put together what is undoubtedly one of the highlights of our year. We hope you enjoyed the show!
