DAAPA ACTIVITIES

HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST


On Thursday, October 31st, DAAPA proudly sponsored the Middle School’s First Annual Halloween Costume Competition! Students gathered in the gym to kick off the festivities, starting with a photo session hosted by DAA Parent Volunteer and freelance photographer, Patrick Desrocher (@patdesrochers_photo). Each contestant then showcased their costumes in front of a judging panel, which included Middle School Principal Dr. Reynolds, Parent Volunteers, and Middle School Counselors.


Students competed for top prizes across three categories: Most Original/Creative, Best Duo/Group, and Funniest. The festivities continued into the lunch block with the DAAPA Trick Or Treats Sale of Halloween-themed bakes by Nevine’s Cakes and Bakes (@cakesbakesbynevin) and PartyTimeCookies (@partytimecookies) as well as delicious Chicken Shawarmas provided by Laffah Restaurant.


A huge thank you to all the students who participated, and congratulations to the winners!

📚✨ The DAA Parents Book Club gathered once again for an engaging discussion on October’s book of the month, ‘The Husbands’ by Holly Gramazio. This month’s read offered a fascinating look at modern-day attitudes toward relationships, sparking lively responses and reflections from our members.


We’re excited for more thought-provoking conversations in our November meeting!
