SPOTS NEWSLETTER – March 22, 2024

As we reach the conclusion of another enriching round of after school activities (ASAs), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, instructors, and supporters who have contributed to its success. From captivating workshops to engaging sports sessions, this round has been a testament to our commitment to providing diverse and stimulating extracurricular experiences for our students.

As we bid farewell to the second round of ASAs, we would like to announce an important change moving forward. Until the end of the school year, we will only be offering external after school activities, facilitated by external providers. This shift will ensure a wider array of options and professional expertise for our students.

The sign-up forms for the upcoming external ASAs will be available starting March 20th. These activities will offer even more opportunities for growth, skill development, and enjoyment, enriching the overall educational experience for our students.

Once again, we extend our sincerest appreciation to everyone involved in making the past rounds of ASAs a resounding success. Your dedication and enthusiasm have truly made a difference in the lives of our students. We eagerly anticipate the upcoming external ASAs and the continued growth and enrichment they will bring to our school community.

IMPORTANT SIGN UP DETAILS

• There will be no internal (free) after school activities offered in Term Three

• Registration of all external (paid and offered by External Providers) activities will be through the ESM portal from March 20th, 9:30am. 

• In order to provide and collect all the information in a timely manner we require our DAA parents to fill out all fields and information asked of them during sign ups on the ESM portal.

• Please ensure that you have the following information at hand before signing up and entered correctly, leaving no field blank as that requires for us to enter information manually for each student significantly delaying the data collection process:

Name of student

Student Id Number

Parent’s email 

Grade

Section

Contact number

• Enter your child’s name and spelling as it appears in GEMS connect (parent portal) as well as their Student ID number.

• Please note that the Student ID number is not the same as their Emirates ID number. You may find the student ID number on your GEMS connect and the back of your lanyard. For example- 12400100234567 or 234567

• The phone number and email address entered should be in use as all after school activity communication will be sent to that email address and phone number.
