Dear DAA Middle School Families,
We are off to a great start after spring break, and students are settling into the Ramadan schedule. I have included a reminder of our daily schedule below. Just a reminder that, during Ramadan, there is no alternate schedule for Tuesdays; We will follow the same schedule every day of the week. I would like to take a moment to say “THANK YOU” to our Islamic Department and parent volunteers who came to decorate DAA over spring break. The building looks beautiful!
As we continue in our blended and remote learning models, it may be a good time to reflect on how students are doing while at home. For most students (and adults for that matter), it is more difficult to stay engaged in work throughout the whole day. Here is an interesting article that reinforces some good tips to help your child be successful while working from home.

Students around DAA middle school this week are seen learning about everything from reading novels to find writing techniques in grade 8 English to ecosystems in grade 7 science, to the Golden Age of Islam through interactive notebooks in grade 7 Social Studies, and equations in grade 6 math. It’s inspiring to see the students get back into the swing of things in MS!
Upcoming Dates:
April 13 - Start of Ramadan (modified school day April 13-May 10)
Timings for MS will be 8:20-1:20 daily during Ramadan
May 11 - Expected beginning of Eid
I hope you all stay well,
