This letter is bittersweet as it is my last as High School Principal.  For those of you who do not know, I will stay at DAA but am moving to the Director of Teaching, Learning and Innovation position and will work closely with Dr. Ethan Hildreth in a whole-school capacity. 

I have learned so much for your children and my best memories include speaking to them in the morning, between classes and of course on local and international trips.  You have raised kind, well-spoken and curious children. I rest easy knowing that I will still see them daily.

Having worked extremely closely over the last few months with Dr. Cody Yocom, incoming High School Principal, I am confident we will have a smooth transition.  Under his leadership, the school will continue to thrive with the support of his administration team and all educators working collaboratively.  

Thank you for your continuous support and appreciation for our vision to ensure a high quality learning environment for your children. Your feedback pushed us to reflect and fine tune our practices.

Teachers have prepared summer learning resources to ensure that learners are prepared for the upcoming academic year. Students can access summer learning materials on the DAA Summer Learning website. It is important to note that some activities are optional, while others are required. Regardless, all are recommended as summer learning activities will help to build the foundation towards success in the upcoming academic year.
