Dear Parents,

We hope you enjoyed your spring break with friends and family. Your children have come back refreshed and ready for the few months before the end of the school year. We have a full calendar ahead of us with HSC week and IB exams. 

During HSC week our students will either take part in work experience within the country, go on excursions around the UAE or travel on expeditions to Iceland, Kenya or Thailand. We are all so excited to begin traveling again with our learners. We know that these experiences have a deep impact on developmental growth. 

To our senior moms and dads, we look forward to seeing you next Friday, April 22nd for our final send off to our graduates.  Their hard work and dedication to their studies is coming to an end (after IB exams, of course!) and the next chapter of their lives is just around the corner. 

Thank you to our volunteers for bringing our school to life with our Ramadan decorations and being part of our Ramadan Speaker Series planned for our Muslim students.  We always appreciate when our parent community supports all of our learners with their rich experience and sound guidance.

With less than a month to go until HSC Week begins (May 9 - 13), plans are being finalized for all grade 9 and 10 students. No matter what experience your child has signed up for, they are going to experience a week of learning and exploration that will benefit them.  In the next week, details for the work/volunteer experience will be shared through email and CREW teachers, so please engage your child in a discussion about what information they have, what they need, and what their plans are when that information arrives.

2022/23 subject selection closes on Friday, April 15th. Please ensure that your subject selection is complete so that we may begin the process of creating student’s schedules for the 2022/23 academic year.

It’s hard to believe that Senior students only have 1 week of regular classes left! We are excited to announce that the long standing DAA tradition of Senior Walk will be taking place on Friday, April 22. Seniors are expected to attend class that morning and then following their final assembly, they will walk through the hallways of each division waving goodbye to their peers, teachers and siblings. Senior parents are welcome to join us on campus outside the main entrance to the atrium at 11:25am to celebrate this big moment by cheering on their child as they exit the building. 

Mock exams are well under way, with AP Computer Science and AP Biology left on the 28th and the 29th. The official AP exams are scheduled for May 17-20, 2022. Students will be receiving feedback from their AP teachers once the mock exams are scored.
