Fall celebrations

In our elementary bi-weekly update we incorrectly stated that the date for costumes and celebration will be October 28. Please note that we will be dressing in costumes on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 31. Looking forward to seeing everyone dressed for this special day.

We are returning to the Fall Parade this year!

On Sunday, the 31st of October, our division will be hosting its annual costume parade, a tradition our students and teachers look forward to in celebration of the Fall season.  Students are invited to come to school dressed in costume (no scary costumes, blood, gore, or weapons) and participate in a Fall Parade around the school track. Students who come to school wearing costumes that include weapons and other offensive accessories will be asked to remove the offensive parts of these costumes before participating in the morning parade. Students will make one full lap around the track and then return to class.

As per COVID guidelines, this will be a student only event but we will take a plethora of photos to share. We hope that we can return to a parent audience next year.

DAAPA Pumpkin patch orders

Your child came home with a pumpkin order this week. Please make sure you have your order in on Sunday. This is the last day to secure yourself a pumpkin!

KG1 Learning

Our KG1 Students were busy showing their support for Cancer and Dyslexia Awareness, exploring Inquiry and Numeracy and reading up a storm in the library.

KG2 Learning

KG2FP children began building their community. They planned where they wanted their buildings in the community and where they would place them. They were “Thinkers” as they thought about the process.

They also discovered some problems in the community. They realized that we were missing the mode of transportation, so they kept the train tracks and train in the community.

Students used the blueprint to design their building that they wanted to build using the 3D printer. They were “Thinkers” as they thought about the designs for their buildings and then drew pictures of their buildings.

We love seeing our youngest learners exploring in so many different ways!
