Ramadan school Activities:
As we are in the year of tolerance, Ramadan is one of the chances to instill the values of coexistence and peace in local, and international communities. Our Islamic Department has coordinated a series of activities during the Holy month of Ramadan including a Ramadan Competition.
Ramadan Competition: (open to all students)Share knowledge and have fun with DAA’s Ramadan Competition! Each week, five questions about Ramadan will be published in SPOTS and the daily questions will be available on the school screens and heard over morning announcements. Divisional Offices will have the entry forms for you to submit your answers. Our Islamic teachers will collect the answers and announce the daily winners who will be awarded a small gift from our Islamic Department!
Qura'n Recitation sessions: (open to Islamic students and parents)Based on the request from parents and students our Islamic team will conduct Quran sessions during Ramadan. Timing are as follows:Morning (7:30-7:50) for parents & (MS/HS) students in the conference room.Morning (7:30-7:50) for ES Students in the ES conference room.
Parents / Students Education and Outreach: (open to parents and students)Any member of our school community is welcome to visit the Ramadan station. This will be set up to educate the parent community on what Ramadan looks like at DAA, and provide information about Ramadan. Student will present generated brochures and videos shown on ipads about Ramadan. The station will be in the main lobby, throughout Ramadan in the morning 7:30 - 8:30 AM.
Ramadan Assemblies: (students)To celebrate Ramadan with the school community and to recognize the winners in the Holy Quran competition.

The Third Annual Qura’n Competition:

DAA has started the preparations for Ramadan in a great way by conducting the MS assembly. What a wonderful way to start The Holy Month, we recognized the winners and participants in the Quran Competition. Next week we will celebrate Ramadan and recognize the winners and the participants in the Quran competition from the ES Insha’allah.

DAAPA (DAA Parents association)

The Holy Month of Ramadan is upon us. DAAPA needs your help lighting up the school with festive seasonal decorations. Kindly join us on Sunday 5th of May at 8am in the main atrium if you are interested to volunteer!

Implementation of Flexible Work and School Time Policies Survey

Dear parents;The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai, in coordination with relevant entities, is undertaking a study to assess the impacts of modifying the current school start and end times on road traffic congestion. The main objective of this study is to ease traffic congestion during peak times by shifting the school times to either an earlier or a later time to stagger school start/end times from other business start/end times.
