DAA's Student Information System powerschool

DAA will no longer be using the MyLearning Platform.

We are pleased to announce that DAA will be using PowerSchool and PowerSchool Learning systems during the 2018-2019 school year.

PowerSchool is DAA's new electronic student management system where student information will be collected and stored. The parent portal will be a gateway into the system giving parents access to real-time information that may include attendance, grades, behavior reports and detailed assignment descriptions along with school bulletins. Everyone stays connected. Teachers will be able to share information with parents and students, which will allow students to stay on top of their assignments, and ensure parents are engaged in their children's learning and progress.

More information will be coming soon!

DAA Parents Association

Dear DAA Families,

It is our pleasure to welcome the families returning to DAA and a big welcome to the parents who are new!

The DAA parent association includes all the parents of DAA students!

However, there is a group of parents, who plan activities and events for the school community outside of the academic curriculum. We invite you to volunteer within the various committees where events planned and implemented such as the International Food Festival, the Teacher appreciation lunch, the Winter Wonderland, Fall Festival, Pumpkin Patch, Movie nights plus many other grade- level events, which provide added fun for the DAA community. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents and work alongside each other to provide extra-curricular fun for DAA students, teachers and parents.

Feel free to drop us an email along with your child’s grade at daaparentconnect@gmail.com

Best wishes for the year ahead!

moral education

Here at Dubai American Academy, we believe in developing our students into dynamic, global citizens who will make ethical decisions and positive contributions to their community. In order to support this goal, students from Grades 1-12 receive instruction in Moral Education.

The Moral Education program is delivered in every school in the UAE and is divided into four important areas of focus:

  1. Character and Morality
  2. The Individual and the Community
  3. Civic Studies
  4. Cultural Studies

Objectives of the Moral Education Program are to:

  1. Build positive Character
  2. Instill an Ethical Outlook
  3. Foster a strong sense of Community
  4. Value the wealth of one’s own Culture as well as others’

If you have any questions surrounding the Moral Education program, please contact me at j.doubleday_daa@gemsedu.com.
